Job Description

Financial Agency Professional Corporation, located at Unit #3 – 3220 Dufferin Street, Toronto, Ontario, is looking for a Senior Bookkeeper for a salary of; $28.50 per hour based on 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of two years or more of accounting experience is required
• A minimum of one year or more of supervising junior accounting staff is required
• A minimum of one year or more of monitoring and evaluating junior accounting staff performance is required
• Knowledge of general accounting policies and procedures
• Proficient in QuickBooks or any other accounting software, MS Office products and advanced Excel Skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Possess good decision-making skills, flexibility, and adaptability to plan and accomplish objectives
• Strong ability to define problems, collect applicable data and perform advanced analysis of data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Completion of a college program in accounting is required


Job Duties:
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Data entry of invoices & bills in accounting software
• Completion of bank & credit card reconciliations through accounting software
• Review & completion of compliance & statutory taxes (i.e. GST, HST, Payroll taxes, WSIB)
• Detailed preparation of account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts, including preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting as required
• Maintain general ledger, including: Post journal entries, analyze general ledger, make adjustments where needed
• Verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling accounts payable and receivable as needed
• Review timesheets for employees to process payroll
• Supervise junior accounting staff and provide guidance in their daily duties
• Monitor and evaluate junior accounting performance and provide constructive and objective input for employee appraisal reports
